Resolved Question: How can I get my cat from here to there?

Okay so I live in California but I'm up here visiting my mom in central Oregon, while being here I couldn't help but adopt the sweetest calico cat from Petsmart :) But how will I get her home to Ventura, CA from Bend, OR? I looked into one pet delivery service and they gave me a quote of $450! to bring her from this door to my door.That's way more money that I have.I planned on taking the train; Amtrak home -would they let me bring my cat?
