Resolved Question: what do you think of the beginning of my story?

One day at St. Charles Medical Center in Bend, Oregon, a baby girl was born. The doctor handed her to the mother. The mother smiled, said ‘my sunshine’, then closed her eyes. The mother died that moment, and the cause of her death was undetermined. The father, who already had a son with the deceased mother, decided to name his daughter Sunshine, after the last word his wife had said. As Sunshine’s life went on, her father noticed she never made a sound. When she cried, she cried silent tears. She also laughed silently. Sunshine’s father took her to the doctors, but they found nothing wrong with Sunshine. When Sunshine (or Sun as she liked to be called) was 16, she still had never talked, screamed, or made a sound.
